WTM Africa named Best Joint Trade Exhibition
WTM Africa has been awarded the title of Best Joint Trade Exhibition in the 6 001 – 12 000 sqm category at the Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO) ROAR awards in Johannesburg on 26 January 2017.
The AAXO ROAR awards, a showcase of excellence within the exhibitions industry, was established in 2016 with the aim of providing an inclusive and representative set of awards that recognise successful exhibition strategy and incorporates marketing, public relations, operations, activation, social responsibility and sustainability.
“After the announcement that WTM Africa has been named as one of the Best Joint Trade Exhibitions in the country, our team is absolutely bursting with pride, and will only spur us on to do even better in 2017,” says General Manager of Africa Travel Week, Chardonnay Marchesi.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group built by Pivion at WTM Africa won a Distinction in the Exhibiting in the Trade Exhibition Category
India Tourism Board won a Distinction in the Exhibiting, Trade Exhibition Category.
One of the well-respected AAXO ROAR Award judges, Martin Hiller, said that he was highly impressed with the standard and variety of the entries submitted. “When you have the opportunity to judge so many unique and interesting entries it just demonstrates the skilled and dedicated professionals we have in exhibitions in South Africa.
