CAPE TOWN, 03 September 2019 – The spring has sprung, the grass has riz. I wonder where them wildlife babies is? Well, according to the conservation teams at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve, at this time of the year ’them wildlife babies’ are just under two and a half hours’ drive from the Mother City.
Inverdoorn has announced the birth of their new spring babies on the 10 000 hectares private game reserve. The newborn buffalo and giraffe calves are being welcomed by day trip and overnight safari guests from across the globe.
These precious calves are thriving on the Ceres Karoo private game reserve and the rangers couldn’t be more proud that they’re doing their bit for conservation, especially as giraffe numbers plummet across Africa.
These beautiful animals, namely the giraffe, which as a whole have been listed as ‘vulnerable’, are top of mind for Inverdoorn, as two of the nine giraffe species, namely the Nubian and Kordofan, are critically endangered, while the Reticulated and Masai giraffe is classified as endangered.
