Southern Africa is a 5-star destination amidst recession
New statistics released by PricewaterhouseCoopers indicates that even though 5-star establishments accounted for only 5% of available rooms in South Africa in 2012, they generated 12% of total hotel room revenue with occupancy rates at 60%. These rates are estimated to rise to 70% in 2013.
Luxury in Southern Africa (‘LISA’) is passionate about Southern Africa, East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands and continues to market these regions as a 5-star destination.
One of LISA’s directors, Francois Laurence, appeared on Business Day TV – South Africa’s premier business channel on DStv’s channel 412.
