Registration Opens for Film Tourism Festival
CAPE TOWN, 10 October 2019 – The Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme (STTP), organisers of the inaugural International Tourism Film Festival-Africa (ITFFA), has opened registrations to attend the festival taking place in Cape Town and the Northern Cape from 20-24 November 2019.
“As we have limited spaces available, we suggest that interested parties register as soon as possible or by 30 October at the latest,” says James Byrne, Executive Assistant to the ITFFA Festival Director.
There are 6 packages to choose from, which can be selected via the festival registration form. The festival programme has been spread over a number of days due to accessibility to the final venue being some distance from larger international transport nodes.
ITFFA, the first-ever film festival of its kind in South Africa, is organised by the STTP in Cooperation with the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT).
ITFFA mainly aims to contribute to the development of domestic and international tourism while encouraging the growth of the local film industry. To promote South Africa and Africa as tourist destinations, the ITFFA encourages short film productions that showcase South African and Africa as tourist destinations and expose the continent to international filmmakers. Mutually beneficial links will be created between the tourism industry and the film industry
“We are also in the process of putting together the first-ever ‘International Film Services Directory’, which will be distributed at all of the ITFFA events,” Bryne concludes.
