Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, 05 February 2019 – Plett Tourism and the Plett Winelands have cancelled the Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival, which was to be convened from 23 & 24 March 2019. The festival has been postponed to March 2020.
According to Patty Butterworth, Media Liason Officer at Plett Tourism, the decision has been made following the late withdrawal of sponsorship.
“Plett Tourism and Plett Winelands are committed to a festival which embodies the quality which people have come to associate with the Plett wine region and so have postponed the event rather than produce a scaled-down version,” said Butterworth. “We are developing a new business model which will include sourcing private sponsorship and other revenue generation mechanisms.”
Plett Tourism has confirmed that those who have already bought tickets for the 2019 festival will receive their refunds as soon as possible via Quicket.
