Meetings Africa 2018 Registrations Open

The South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB) has announced that registrations for Meetings Africa 2018 are now open, and exhibitors, buyers and media are reminded to register or submit their applications as soon as possible.

Meetings Africa 2018 will again see African associations and meetings industry professionals partner to help transform our continent by showcasing Africa’s diverse services and products. The trade show will take place on 27 and 28 February 2018 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. It will be preceded by the Business Opportunity Networking Day (BONDay), dedicated solely to exhibitors on 26 February 2018.

The theme for Meetings Africa 2018, “Shared Economies” is apt and pivotal for the show as it focuses on cementing partnerships that will position Africa globally as an ideal Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions (MICE) destination.  Shared economies will be promoted and positioned as a tool for collaborative and sustainable growth on the continent by illustrating how Africa’s tourism entrepreneurs can leverage off each other’s resources to achieve meaningful economies of scale.

“Through smart collaborations in the business events sphere, we are convinced that we can boost tourism revenue and create more sustainable jobs for our country and our continent. I can assure you that Meetings Africa 2018 is going to be a stimulating and productive three days of meetings, networking and doing business, as we showcase the very best our continent’s business events industry has to offer the world,” said Sisa Ntshona, CEO of South African Tourism.

Meetings Africa is a premier business events trade show brought to you by the South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB), a unit of South African Tourism. The role of the SANCB is to promote South Africa as a preferred business events destination through platforms such as Meetings Africa. It aims to encourage Africa’s MICE industry to work together to attract more global and regional business events, and have meetings, particularly international association conferences, rotate on the African continent.
