Magic Circus coming to Seychelles
The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture together with the support of dedicated partners have confirmed that they will be hosting the Magic Circus of Samoa, on 20 September 2013.
The people of Seychelles will soon be experiencing the excitement of a circus for the first time … The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) and the Ministry of Tourism & Culture is hosting in Victoria for the first time the Magic Circus of Samoa. With the support of the National Sports Council (NAC) and the national carrier – Air Seychelles, the people of Seychelles will finally have the fantastic opportunity to experience a circus never seen before on the island.
The group consisting of 27 crew members will land at the International airport onboard the Air Seychelles flight from Mauritius, on Friday 20 September 2013.
Despite the majority of its performers hailing from Samoa, the circus is a cosmopolitan group with crew members from India, Nepal, Fiji, France, Ethiopia and Kiribati.
Although the Tourism Board would have loved for the public to immediately enjoy what the group has to offer straight away, they will only do so the week following their landing – due to their equipment, inclusive of their BIG CIRCUS TENT will only arriving in Seychelles on Saturday 5 October.
Mr Bruno, the main representative of the circus, has said that he promises that his circus will please the people of Seychelles with the best circus performance – as is only fitting for the most beautiful islands in the Indian Ocean.
In the meantime, a representative of the Seychelles Tourism Board have said that they will keep Seychelles updated on all necessary details through the local media on the coming planned performances of this coming circus.
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture has said that existing cooperation today existing with partners in the four corners of the world continues to open new opportunities for Seychelles, and that these same cooperation will also enable our Tourism Board to help bring new events for the people of Seychelles.
“We have seen major events such as the annual Carnaval International de Victoria or the Festival Kreol among many others, but we also felt it is a responsibility that we have to open doors for new events that bring clean fun and enjoyment to families and the young people of our islands. The fun and the enjoyment provided by a circus has often been seen by our people through press reports and through films and in early October our own people will appreciate this type of event right here in Seychelles” said Minister St.Ange
