Gravity Adventures (Cape Town) and Nkwichi Lodge have put together a very exclusive, once in a lifetime expedition trip on the eastern shores of Lago Niassa – the wild side of Lake Malawi.
Starting from Metangula, the most southerly town on the Mozambican side of the lake, the expedition will travel over 100km along some of the most pristine coastlines in Africa.
Paddling past ancient Rift Valley rock formations and stopping to make camp on some of the stunning, deserted beaches, the group will also have the opportunity to experience the underwater world of the lake, home to over 800 species of endemic Cichlids, and the reason why the WWF has declared Lake Malawi, ‘the most important lake in the world in terms of biodiversity.’
