JOHANNESBURG, Friday, 03 May 2019 – Entries for the South African tourism industry’s premier awards, the National Lilizela Tourism Awards, are open.
Now in its seventh year, these awards recognise those who work passionately and with pride to deliver a world-class product and service, and whose delivery grows South Africa’s global destination competitiveness.
Entry for the National Lilizela Tourism Awards is free, allowing equal opportunity for all tourism providers to participate. Further details on how to enter and the conditions of entry can be found on www.lilizela.co.za. Note that entries close on 31 May 2019.
The aim of the National Lilizela Tourism Awards is to recognise and celebrate tourism businesses for tourism excellence, for their contribution to South Africa’s global competitiveness, and for growing tourism’s contribution towards GDP and job creation.

With 2019 marking 25 years of South Africa’s democracy, South Africa’s tourism offering has grown, with world-class attractions that provide a holiday destination like no other. The Lilizela National Awards is the biggest and only countrywide celebration of tourism excellence in South Africa.
The Provincial Lilizela Tourism Awards will take place during Tourism Month in September 2019 with the national event scheduled to take place on 09 November 2019.
