Tau Game Lodge in the Madikwe Reserve has been redecorated and upgraded over the past years to offer an ideal 5-star safari getaway, complete with the pampering Tau Spa Oasis to complement the prolific game viewing from room and lodge decks overlooking the large waterhole as well as on game drives.
Tau is offering a veritable feast of 5-star safari style and luxurious pampering @ R3300 per person sharing per night, excluding tourism levies (R150 per person park entrance fee and R10 per person per night bed levy), during high season – between November and April – comprising:
- Accommodation, 3 meals per day, 2 game drives per day, snacks and beverages on game drives, plus a 45 minute Back, Neck and Foot Hot Stone Massage when booking 2 or more nights.
- Hot stone massage is a unique connection we experience with nature, offering a sense of profoundness and sacredness that we too often forget. Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated basalt stones. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage and the warmth of the hot stones improves circulation and calms the nervous system.
Transport/flights return Madikwe and extras are excluded.
Whilst Tau is a popular romantic destination, it also offers ideal family-friendly packages and the delicious food always proves popular with guests. Children aged three to five-years old are charged a minimal fee of R200 per night in a standard chalet shared with adults and automatically become members of the Tau Cubz Club, which includes a short game drive after breakfast for the kids to give parents the chance to make the most of the comprehensive game drives for adults. After the children’s game drive, they are entertained with treasure hunts and arts and crafts activities, whilst being provided with spacious all-purpose backpacks filled with activity books, animal sticker checklists, a deputy ranger sticker badge as well as a Tau T-shirt. Additional Cubz entertainment options are for sale in the Tau Curio Shop, including a Tau Game Lodge puzzle, games, soft toys and an interactive CD.
