The countdown to Meetings Africa 2019 has begun. The team here at the South Africa National Convention Bureau is hard at work preparing and looking forward to welcoming and hosting all delegates from across the world to our magnificent country. Words by South African Tourism CEO, Sisa Ntshona.
The year 2019 marks the 14th instalment of Meetings Africa which is Africa’s premier business events trade show and will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 26th and 27th February 2019.
This year, we continue with our 2018 theme, “Shared Economies”, because business events such as Meetings Africa are all about connections and partnerships.
South Africa and the rest of the African continent, continues to place a firm emphasis and focus on cementing partnerships that will continue to cast the light on our continent globally as an ideal Meetings Incentives Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) destination. Meetings Africa is important as we use this time to network and do business, as we showcase the very best our continent’s business events industry has to offer the world.
In addition to this, this year we would like to strengthen our focus on empowering and growing the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as they do not only contribute to the economy but they also promote innovative partnerships.
At Meetings Africa, unique African business events and products will be showcased. We are looking forward to forging long-lasting, mutually-beneficial smart collaborations over the three days of Meetings Africa.
