City Sightseeing inaugurates in Dubai

The President of dnata & Group Services, Emirates Group, Gary Chapman, Iain Andrew, Divisional Senior Vice President of dnata Travel, and the president and CEO of City Sightseeing Worldwide, Enrique Ybarra, celebrated the opening of City Sightseeing Dubai. City Sightseeing Dubai will operate with 20 new open top double-decker buses which are equipped with the latest technology and designed specifically for Dubai.
Iain Andrew commented: “dnata has seen this city grow and become one of the world’s most popular destinations. Visitors come to Dubai looking to take in all the city has to offer and City Sightseeing provides that opportunity. Each passenger will see Dubai’s sights from modern, comfortable double-decker buses, offering the best views of the city.”

City Sightseeing’s two routes will enable tourists to discover every aspect of Dubai’s past and present. The Blue Route offers 12 stops, including Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Jumeirah Mosque, Jumeirah Beach Park, the Umm Suqeim Public Beach, and Madinat Jumeirah. Passengers will also visit the iconic Palm Jumeirah and will end the tour at the Mall of the Emirates. The Red Route has 16 stops, including the Gold and Spice Souks, Dubai Mall, Dhow Cruise, Bastakia, the Dubai Museum and will end at the Old Souk.
City Sightseeing allows passengers to “hop on and off” as many times as they wish, with ticket validity of either 24 or 48 hours.
The 24-hour ticket includes the Arabian Dowh Cruise, entrance to Dubai Museum, the residence of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, guided walks and the water taxi. The 48 hour ticket includes entry into the Dubai Aquarium and Sharjah City Sightseeing ticket. City Sightseeing Dubai also offers an informative commentary in 12 languages, plus two children commentaries in English and Arabic. The tour also includes a free airport shuttle service during business hours.
Dubai, one of the seven emirates of the UAE has approximately 12 million annual visitors and is the fifth most visited destination in the world and the first most visited destination in the Middle East and Africa. In addition being a strategic location in global transportation, Dubai has a large number of attractions, including museums, resorts and sports activities. It is also well known as a vibrant commercial city and the “shopping capital of the Middle East”. Dubai will be hosting the World Expo 2020.
