The recipient of the 2016 Lilizela Tourism Awards as both provincial and national winner, Beverley Country Cottages has once again been voted as the best 3-star self-catering exclusive accommodation establishment in KwaZulu-Natal and were handed their provincial award certificate and trophy at the recent Lilizela Tourism Awards provincial awards ceremony held on 07 September 2017.
Beverley Country Cottages is now a nominee for the 2017 Lilizela National Awards, which will take place at a glittering ceremony to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 29 October, organised by South African Tourism.
Owned and managed by Kate and Garry Kelly, Beverley Country Cottages is situated on a hilltop with magnificent views over the beautiful Dargle Valley and Umgeni River along the Midlands Meander tourism route.
Accommodation at Beverley Country Cottages consists of the old Stables (sleeps 6 in 3 en-suite bedrooms), Hayloft (sleeps 2 with an en-suite bathroom), Dairy (sleeps 4 in 2 en-suite bedrooms) and the double story Thatched House (sleeps 6 in 3 en-suite bedrooms), all of which have been lovingly converted and renovated into beautiful self-catering cottages, completely self-contained. In the original stone homestead, built in 1913, there are an additional two large rooms with Oregon floors and ceilings, which are offered on a bed and breakfast basis.
Enjoy the splendour of these elegant rooms, while relaxing in the grand Victorian baths or the comfortable sleigh, or four-poster beds. They each have their own separate entrances off a shared veranda.
