Best Safari Spa in Africa
With the 2014 Safari Awards votes being counted as we speak, ready for the Judges to view in January, we just can’t wait to find out who will be the winner of the ‘Best Safari Spa in Africa’ in the 2014 Safari Awards. As Tourism Tattler is a Media Partner to the 2014 Safari Awards, we thought we’d do a little speculating on some South African safari spa entries…
Karkloof Safari Spa in South Africa simply must be in the finals for Best Safari Spa in Africa: A 7 star boutique lodge with 16 villas, private guide and game vehicle, world-class hydrotherapy and top Thai therapists. With a check-in time of 8am, a check-out time of 8pm, and treatments offered (and at no extra cost), no matter what time of day or night, you have a whole lot of time to indulge.
Royal Malewane in South Africa is another nominee who we expect to see make it with ease to the finals of the Best Safari Spa in Africa: With exceptional guiding and game-viewing, Royal Malewane’s location in the Kruger Park is fabulous, and when you add the spa facilities and pampering into the mix you have a lodge to dream of. Built around a central courtyard, you’ll find a gym, sparkling heated lap pool, steam room, jacuzzi, hot and cold African baths and private casitas for relaxation.
Pumba Private Game Reserve and Spa is a popular nominee for Best Safari Spa in Africa: With 5 star accommodation and ‘gold star’ environmental status, you know you are in safe hands at Pumba. The spa offers a plethora of tempting treatments, using scents and remedies inspired by fynbos, the desert and the ocean.
If you have a suggestion for somewhere you’ve been on safari with a fabulous spa, you can always nominate as the ‘Best Safari Spa in Africa’ (voting for 2014 has now closed but your vote will be counted in the 2015 Awards).
